This Privacy Policy is prepared to inform users of the terms and conditions regarding the use of data and the manner in which data to be obtained during the use of the website www.hood.ee ('the Website'), managed and operated by Birdi, is processed to provide communication between the Digital Nomad and the Client ('the Member(s)').

Birdi is committed to data confidentiality and transparency in the storage of information. This Privacy and Personal Data Policy includes: what kind of data is collected, how it is used, with whom it is shared if necessary, what your rights are regarding your personal data and how such rights might be exercised.

This Privacy and Personal Data Policy is an integral part of the User Agreement.

Each visitor/member who confirms the Privacy and Personal Data Policy with Birdi, and persons who provide services through Birdi within the following limitations, expressly gives consent and approval to the processing, storage (indefinitely, within the legal term, affiliation period or the period stated/to be stated by Birdi), analysis, classification, updating and transfer to third party business partners and/or consultants of personal and/or non-personal data.

Collection of personal data and methods of collection

Personal data includes any information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual, such as: name, identification number, location data, bank details, IP address or any other attribute of that individual.

When you use Birdi, we collect the following information about your use of our services:

  • Registration information

    To take advantage of Birdi's services, you must be a Birdi member. To register with Birdi, you must enter your username, password and email address. If you choose to register with a third party (such as your Google account), Birdi will record that the third party account belongs to you during this registration.

  • Invoicing information

    When making a payment to Birdi, you will be required to provide invoicing information such as name, address, email address, company name, tax office and tax identification number, financial and banking information associated with the type of payment you choose, among others. The payment infrastructure on which Birdi's system is based is protected by 3D Secure.

  • Service data to be evaluated and reviewed

    The information you have submitted about the services you wish to provide through Birdi will be stored in Birdi's infrastructure for evaluation and to better serve you in the future.

Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no information that members and/or site users provide to Birdi will be shared with third parties. Birdi stores this data for internal use only in order to develop its own database and provide better service to its customers.

  • Usage data

    Whenever you request our services, usage data is collected about you, such as which pages you visited within the Birdi website, what you clicked on and when, etc. In addition, like many websites today, some of our network servers may maintain log files; these files store data each time a device accesses them. Log files may include information about the nature of each access, such as originating IP addresses, Internet service providers, files displayed on the site (HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system versions, and timestamps.

  • Device data

    Data such as your IP address, system version, device type, performance information and the type of browser you use to access our services.

  • Thrid-party data

    If you allow third parties to share your information with us, we may collect information or data about you from those third parties. For example, if you choose to register and sign in to Birdi using your Google Account information, your login information will be verified by Google; we will only collect information about your Google Account that you specifically choose to share with us by allowing your Birdi account to connect to your Google Account.

Processing of personal data and its purpose

The information collected by Birdi may be used to optimize and improve Birdi's services. Birdi may use this information for website management, security, promotional activities, research and analysis. No information will be disclosed to the public. However, we may also use your anonymized information or share it with third parties where appropriate.

Birdi is obligated to take technical and administrative measures to provide an adequate level of security to ensure the maintenance of data and to protect against unlawful processing activities and access to personal data, paying the utmost attention to the storage of your information.

Birdi has no obligation other than to notify the person concerned and the relevant administrative authority in the event of unauthorized access, alteration or deletion of your information, interruption or replacement of your data stored by Birdi.

Each time you visit the site, your IP address, operating system, browser, connection time and other similar information is automatically saved; such information obtained without your permission may be used by Birdi, associated with your personal information or anonymously on the condition that it is not shared with third parties.

All information obtained from the user in order for the them to benefit from the services offered by Birdi is protected in accordance with our obligations under the relevant legislation on the protection of personal data.

Birdi provides limited access to its employees and associated companies that need access to relevant information in the scope of legal obligations or system requirements.

Transfer of personal data and its purpose

Your personal data collected by Birdi may be transferred to, processed and stored on servers in foreign countries in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Birdi may transfer user/member information, including personal information, to other countries and jurisdictions that may have different privacy laws.

Accordingly, Birdi may subcontract the processing to another person or share your information with third parties in countries other than your country of residence to carry out the activities described in this Privacy Policy. In doing so, Birdi complies with its obligations under applicable law. Therefore, your personal information may be subject to different privacy rules than in your country of residence. However, the data will be treated according to a restrictive interpretation of the scope of this text.

Birdi does not rent, sell, or share your personal information with other companies. However, Birdi may share non-personal (anonymous) information with third parties.
